Animal torture: Horse

Here is the first part of my series which i would like to start regardless of how much it affects people but it's worth mentioning!





long ago i read this book call black beauty. That book was a story of horse named black beauty! what makes this book unique  is that it is narrated by a horse point of view itself. sounds weird no? but Anna Sewell has done an impeccable job.

Also what this book tells  you that how the struggle of animals is almost as that of humans. just the difference is that us humans have limitations to tolerance and we can burst it out anytime but what an animal could do is to endure the the pain of not able to make us human understand them and even if they burst it out,a man would not tolerate such rage right?

so there were some things that clinged on to black beauty without his will. firstly i thought the struggle mentioned is exaggerated or maybe just a core imagined stuff for story. but when i did research about it, i was disappointed by the fact that it was TRUE!

So here are some things that you could have witnessed if you were a Horse!



  • THE REINS



so here the man is holding the rein. they use it  by giving a pressure to the neck of horse called a rein aid that directs the horse.
" due to these reins tension that constrained the position of head and throat causes foam in their mouth. sometimes uncomfortable breathing"  that what black beauty said.



  • THE BLINKERS
so black beauty call it a stupid fashion! as they are used to prevent horses seeing to the rear and side and getting so frightened to cause accidents. 
why to make someone partly blind? if they weren't suppose to see their rear side to prevent accidents nature in the first place would never have given them sight like this.
and moreover they are used by man on them for selfish reasons like the race competitions to make them not distracted by crowd. how would you feel if someone makes you partially blind against your own will?




  • CHECKREIN













i don't know about now, but in those early royal times, the checkreins were shortened to raise their horse heads up! simply for fashion and show off reasons!😓 and then they were also supposed to take the heavy carriage to long distances with their heads up all the time restricting them to move their OWN heads!


  • THE WHIP












and how can we forget the horse whipping? they say horse have a resilient skin. whipping doesn't affect them. then why do we whip them in first place? again for some selfish reasons that can give them sensation of the memory of their training which said to move faster for their master! (slow claps) they are in the race they never asked for!



  • MANY MORE

these so called accessories are not limited upto these only. there are many such things like breastplates,noseband, headgears which acts as a ground to those accessories and may not be worse than them but definitely unwanted by those poor lives!

Horses represent noble values, pride, strength, power, freedom, endurance and elegance.
they have been admired and used since very old times. 
it's not we people are not aware of the fact that our pleasure comes with a cost of their freedom and neglected Honour.
i myself have been on the horse and used them for my selfish purpose to protect my legs from muddy swamp and rocks and letting them suffer. so preaching is easier than practice goes for me here but now as i put myself in similar situation like them i would have lost it at first place and so do you! 
these animals are used at many tourist areas and games and sports and i don't know how necessary is that for us to use them there and torture them.
